I haven't done a great deal of depth of the Royal Life , so here is what Court life in the Palaces would have been like. Surprisingly enough, Court had many rules for behavior, status, and of course fashion. You didn't go to Court, you were INVITED. Servants and Pageboys only saw partial life of Court they were working or cleaning in the castle. Think of Court like a social gathering. You have to be there, you want to be there. Meeting the King can do a lot. Many Kings were easily persuaded to change things or give you a higher status which had more money in the end. Betroths were even made in Court but, had to approved by the King. Festivals for the Holidays happened there. Hours and hours of dancing, food, and wine. It truly was lavish.
